QI just received a gift voucher. How do I book a course?

If you've just received one of our gift vouchers then please find available course dates on the relevant course page then contact us to let us know what date you would like to book. Our new website launched 1st October 2021 does not work with our e-vouchers from our previous website, please contact us so we can make a booking for you.

QI have no woodworking experience at all. Can Perth Wood School help me to learn?

Yes, helping people with limited experience or absolute beginners get into woodworking is one of the very reasons for our existence. You will be amazed how quickly you will be creating solid timber furniture.

QWill I produce projects that look any good?

You bet! Our highly experienced staff work closely with all of our customers to help them produce beautiful pieces of furniture.

QIs the Course Deposit refundable?

We do not provide refunds if you simply change your mind or can't make it to the course that you have booked. Deposits are used to purchase materials prior to a course and we may have turned other customers away after you have booked.

Failing to turn up to your booked course or workshop will result in loss of any deposit or course fee already paid.

QCan I change my booking?

We will strive to accommodate booking changes where possible but no less than 7 days prior to the booked course. Changes to bookings are not accepted less than seven days prior to the start date of a booked course or workshop. We will only accommodate one change per booking. Failing to turn up to your booked course or workshop will result in loss of any deposit or course fee already paid.

QI want to book into a course but may not be able to make every session, can I make up missed sessions?

Please consider your schedule carefully before booking any of our courses or workshops. While we totally understand that life often gets in the way of the best laid plans, we also can't guarantee that we'll be able to provide you with another opportunity to make up a missed session. Please contact or call us to discuss options if you work an irregular roster.

QI work FIFO or shift work and none of the course dates suit me. What other options are on offer?

With the huge number of FIFO and shift workers in Perth, we regularly arrange courses to suit customers that can't make our scheduled courses. Please contact us to find out what we can do for you.

QI want to buy a gift voucher for someone special but I'm not sure what level of experience they have. How do I know which course will suit?

We get asked this question all the time. We are very flexible with use of our gift vouchers. Just give us a call and one of our friendly staff can work out the very best gift solution for you.

QDo your gift vouchers expire?

Yes. Our gift vouchers purchased on or after the 1st of November 2019 are valid for 36 months from the date of purchase. Gift vouchers purchased before the 1st of November 2019 are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Please make sure that you use your gift voucher before it expires as we do not extend gift voucher expiry dates.

QAre gift vouchers refundable?

No. Please choose carefully when purchasing gift vouchers as we do not offer refunds for gift vouchers. Valid gift vouchers may be used for course or workshop fees, workshop hire or timber. Gift vouchers will not be exchanged for cash.

QCan I leave my project at Perth Wood School between visits?

Projects being built in scheduled courses can be left with us for the duration of the course. All other projects and material being stored in our workshop are subject to a daily storage fee. Where practical we encourage our customers to take projects home between visits.

QWhat if I miss the course I booked into?

In the event of a "No Show" you will loose any deposit you have paid or the value of the gift voucher you have use to book with. Many of our courses are booked out well before the start date and we sometimes have people on a waiting list to attend. By not turning up, we have lost the opportunity of a full paying customer.

QWhat's the minimum age requirement for our Workshop?

Please contact us before making a booking for under 18's. We have a minimum age requirement of 16 years of age and also require a parent or adult guardian be present in our workshop throughout the duration of any course or workshop that U18 year olds are booked into. Our courses are not suitable for younger children. Please consider www.perthkidsshed.com.au Perth's only workshop offering woodworking for teens and young children.

QTerms and Conditons

When making a booking for one of our courses or workshops we require a booking deposit to secure your booking and to help cover the cost of materials that will be required for your project.
Please choose your booking date carefully as we do not provide refunds if you change your mind regarding your booking or you can no longer attend our workshop on the date you have chosen.
Where possible we will accommodate one change of date per original booking providing the change of date request is made a minimum of seven days prior to the commencement of your booked course or workshop.
In the event to of either State or Commonwealth Government directives to suspend our business activities due to a COVID19 related lockdown, we will contact you with alternative dates for the same course or workshop.
